On to Another Adventure in his life...

My little one has started a new adventure in his life. I am so proud of him! But yet at the same time it bittersweet. He is going to get more and more independent as the years go on. I am still in awe everyday by the things he says and does. I am so thankful to have such an amazing son. I was able to spend the morning with him in his classroom. They showed us around, told us what he would be doing and took us on a tour of the school. I couldn't help but feel sad when it was time to leave him there. Sure, it wasn't like he hadn't been in preschool before this, but this felt different. It is the start to his formal education- what matters- what goes on his record. I am so dedicated to his education that I look forward to our afternoons of homework, library books, school functions and helping out in his class. I love being a mother-his mother, he means the world to me. As I walked out of his classroom he has a smile on his face and while he wasn't one of the kids crying I realized not to be sad that he was willing to stay and let me go- but by the fact that I had taught him and prepared him enough for this moment. My baby is now a kindergartner.

He started school this morning
And he seemed so very small
As I waited there beside him
In the kindergarten yard.

As he took his place beside
The others in the class,
I realized how all too soon
Those first few years can pass.

Remembering, I saw him as
He first learned how to walk,
The words that we alone made out
When he began to talk.

This Little boy so much absorbed
In learning how to write,
It seems as though he must have grown
To boyhood overnight.

My eyes were blurred but hastily
I brushed the tears away,
Lest by some word or sign of mine
I mar his first, big day.

Oh, how I longed to stay with him
And keep him by his hand,
To lead him through the places
That I couldn't understand.

And something closely kin to fear
Was mingled with my pride,
I knew he would no longer be
A baby by my side.

But, he must have his chance to live,
To work his problems out
The privilege to grown and learn
What life is all about.

And I must share my little boy
With friends and work and play,
He's not a baby anymore-
He started school today.

A day of Fun in the Oh so Hot sun:)

I am so thankful this pregnancy isn't holding me back from doing fun things with Ty and Kiley. I know once the babies get here finding time to do anything outside of the house for the first several months is going to be a challenge. Pretty soon I am facing the possibility of being put on bed rest, because of the fact that I am having twins-and my size. I don't see myself carrying to term- even though that is what I am praying and hoping for.
So, while time and these babies allow I am up and about enjoying life, summer weather and being a mom to my 2 other kiddos. With Tyler gearing up to start kindergarten here very soon I am trying to make this summer a summer of fun for him! I Can't believe my little baby is starting kindergarten so soon, but that's a whole other blog post:)
Jas and I decided to take the kids to Six Flags, in Vallejo. I was so worried about the weather just because, even with 100 SPF smeared all over us in layers somehow Kiley and I manage to burn. With in the first 5 minutes of being in the sun I turn red like a tomato. Ty is lucky- I can lather him up and he won't burn. But the weather was on our side. It was beautiful out and while it was warm it wasn't unbearable hot. Luckily they have lots of water areas to play in as well so we were set. The kids had a blast- and I think Jas and I did too. Watching them enjoy themselves makes any trip like this worth while. The food, rides and shows were great. The kids loved the dolphins- especially Kiley. She wanted a dolphin plush toy for her souvenir- Ty of course wanted candy. That boy- any time he can gets an excuse to get some candy in him hes all for it! He ended up picking out the most random thing-a flashlight with his name on it. Only my son!
The only hard part of the day for me was the fact that I couldn't go on any of the rides. I know why obviously but I would have loved to have been the one to take Kiley on her first ride. Luckily her auntie took her in my place. At the end of the day we were beat- but it was totally worth every second!!!

20 weeks! Half way there!! Happy 4th!

So, I am half way through my 3rd pregnancy with the TWINS! I can't imagine how quick the next 15-20 weeks will go by seeing how fast the first 20 weeks went. I am feeling a realm of emotions from this. I can't imagine what life will be like once they get here. I wonder what they will look like, if they will have my nose or his hair color, my toes or his...little things like that. I am enjoying every last second of this because this is the last pregnancy I Will ever experience. 4 children to love and raise is wonderful. It's going to be hectic and crazy at times I am sure. I couldn't imagine having more after this. I don't think it'd be fair to the 4 I have. I never thought (though I am super happy) that I would be a mommy of 4. I have plenty of love to go around though and am so thankful for this gift. There is nothing greater, more rewarding to me then being a mother. I thank my lucky stars everyday to have my kids- and the 2 that are on the way!! Thanks Jas for taking these pics for me to cherish for years to come, where I can look back and remember what it was like to have life growing inside of me...the most empowering feeling in the world:) I had a great time spending the 4Th with you and am so lucky to have you as my friend. Love ya!

Even though I've had two other little ones in my tummy- its still has to be one of the most incredible feeling ever! To know there are 2 of them in there, at once...its such a new feeling. I just wonder who is kicking me:) 15-20 more weeks and they will be in my arms...

Tyler graduates from preschool!

My son has officially graduated from preschool. The ceremony was adorable- the food was yummy. I can't believe my little guy has already gone through his preschool years. I feel like he is growing up way to fast. Before I know it he will be graduating high school. They sang the cutest songs, they had been practicing them for over a month. His head teacher, Mrs. Elke was diagnosed with cancer and after over 20 years of working and owning the school she handed it over to one of the other teachers, Mrs. Dorothy. It was a very emotional speech. I feel for her greatly because having been there with grandma Cece, knowing her love for this kids, I knew what she was going through. I am very thankful my son got to experience the last year of her teaching career. She was an amazing teacher with a great heart and truly loved each and every child that walked through those classroom doors. I am so thankful I researched and found Rocklin Montessori. It ended up being voted the number one school in Rocklin this year and I definitely know why. I will miss helping out in his class, the other students and most of all the experience and smile it put on my sons face everyday when he went there.

A Beautiful Day at the River

The other day Kyle, his friends the kiddos and I (along with our dog, Rugger)all spent the day at the river. The weather is finally getting warm enough outside to play in the water and be in a swim suit. I can't wait for summer. The quicker summer passes the quicker the babies will be here.

To the Dr. We Go

Kiley went with me to the Dr. the other day. I was excited to see the babies and wanted to show her what they looked like. The appointment went good and the babies look great. While we were waiting I took a few pictures of my little one. She is getting so big. I wonder if she gets the fact that pretty soon she will have 2 new babies in the house.
